The mountain as a background, the snow out of the window, the fireplace, and my grandfather seated a rocking chair smoking his cigar. The room was cozy: it was there I felt in love with the fireplace.

He was swinging, waiting for me to read a fairytale: I used to sit on his immense legs fascinated by him.

It was the last time I’d ever seen him and I could recognize that smell around one thousand smells.

To this day I still have that tobacco scent in my nose, combined with the aroma of burnt wood in the fireplace.
